Are you on the Pinterest yet?
If not, be prepared to waste precisely 100% of your free-and-not-so-free-time for a while. It’s bad. Real bad. Deliciously, addictively, aweseomely bad.
One of the things I love most when procrastinating on the Pin is discovering crazy new kitchen gadgets. Who doesn’t LOVE kitchen gadgets?! I mean, sure, there’s a lot of junky ones out there that you know you’d probably never use (even though you’re still curious enough to justify getting them at the time).
But, the more I worked on curating a little collection of my own on my Kitchen Gadgets board, the more gadgets I discovered that I really am convinced are truly useful and worth getting. Here’s my top ten of what I’ve found so far. Happy pinning!
1. The Crock Pot Lunch Crock, for Home-Cooked Meals To-Go
It’s everything you love about your crock pot, in a little portable version you can take with you to work! If I worked outside of my home, I’d get this in a heartbeat. No more resorting to the office microwave, or the expense of eating out, or the same unappetizing cold salad and sandwich day after day. You can just scoop some of last night’s leftovers in here, plug it in at work, and you’ve got a hot meal by lunch time! Such a great idea.

2. The One-Trip Grip Grocery Bag Holder
Now this is smart. Carry several grocery bags with one hand, without nearly breaking your pinky finger by the time you fumble for the door handle! This gadget spreads the weight of the bags over a more manageable surface to grip. (Oh, but skip the paper-or-plastic. Here’s some great re-usable bags made out of organic cotton that are much more eco-friendly.)

3. Flexible Canning Scoop with Corner Angle Design
This is a tool that’s supposed to be used as a “canning scoop,” but I say it’ll work as a ladle for whatever you’ve got cooking. Wouldn’t it be nice to easily be able to get out the stuff at the bottom of your pot without having to heave it up with one hand, and scrape it down with a spatula? This awesome ladle scoop also comes with a little hanging notch so you can just prop it up on the side of the pot when you’re not using it.

4. Magnetic Measuring Spoon Set
Totally genius! No more digging through drawers to find that missing 1/4 tsp measuring spoon you need—they’re all stacked up together, right where you need them. You can also stick them on your oven if it’s magnetic, or even on your fridge for easy access. I think it would be cute to use them as refrigerator magnets! These measuring spoons are even double-sided, with round spoons on one end, and oval on the other—so they fit into spice jars easily.

5. Fresh Herb Mill Grinder
Chopping fresh herbs is a major PITA. And dried herbs are convenient, but they’ll never match the taste of fresh. So this little tool gives you the best of both worlds! You just stuff your herbs in there, and all the little blades inside somehow magically grind them up neatly—just like a pepper mill! Impressive.

6. The Corn Zipper
How great is this? A corn “zipper!” Zips out perfect kernels from whole ears of corn. I would imagine this is a money-saving gadget, too, since canned or frozen corn is often more expensive than fresh. And freshly-zipped corn would taste so much better!
[easyazon-block align=”center” asin=”B001UOCYLI” locale=”us”]
7. The Baggy Holding Rack
Like having an extra set of hands! Aahh… how perfect would this be to have for freezer cooking? Just set your bag in the rag, and it props it up while you pour in whatever you need, even soups and sauces!
[easyazon-block align=”center” asin=”B0049NQEKO” locale=”us”]
8. The Pot Clip Spoon Rest
The perfect spoon rest—no drips or messy counters! What more could you want.

9. Mason Jar Drink & Pour Cap
Caps with pour spout for your mason jars! Shake, pour, and store. Smoothies, raw milk, salad dressing, the possibilities are endless!

10. Flex-it Silicone Measuring Cups
It’s like an instant funnel! Squeeze the flexible cups to make the pouring spout smaller so you can easily pour out whatever you need, with less mess and no additional tools. Pretty handy I would imagine!

I’m loving that mini crockpot, but then I’ve never met a slow cooker that I didn’t like. I love kitchenware <3

I just bought a different (but well known brand) of magnetic measuring spoons at Wal-Mart and put them in the dishwasher to wash first. The other silverware stuck to them and one of the magnets came out and stuck to a spoon. I took them back to the store. Just my experience with them FYI.

I bought probably the same ones also at Wal-Mart but I don’t have a dishwasher so mine are fine.
