I am so excited, so honored, and so proud to be hosting this new giveaway — our readers can enter to win delicious popcorn AND support the YES on Prop 37 campaign! The bloggers of Village Green Network are giving away over $4,000 in prizes from some amazing sponsors dedicated to supporting this important cause. And this week, we get to give away $150 worth of organic popcorn to some lucky readers!
Why support Prop 37?
Next month, California voters are getting the chance to vote to label GMOs. The initiative is called Proposition 37.
Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the opposition (Monsanto, Dow, Dupont, etc.) have raised over $20 million to try to sway Californians to vote no on Prop 37. They’re putting up bogus ads filled with their propaganda about how “safe” GMOs are, and a bunch of blatant lies about Prop 37.
But the California Right to Know campaign is here to help. They’re working hard to get the truth out there about why we need GMO labeling, and why our only hope for getting genetically modified (GMO) foods labeled is happening RIGHT NOW. We need to act on it!
Here is a very compelling commercial that the Yes on 37 campaign put together:
Wouldn’t you love to see that ad broadcast on every television in California, as much as possible?
Well, the campaign needs YOUR donation to make that happen! We need to raise money to tell the truth about the dangers of GMOs — on TV commercials, billboards, etc. — and get Californians out on November 6th to VOTE YES on PROP 37.
Giveaway Prize: G.H. Cretors Popcorn Sample Packs —$150 value
G.H. Cretors is one of the good guys in the food biz — they’re totally dedicated to keeping GMOs out of our food supply. And with Monsanto’s GM corn taking over 85% of the corn industry, that’s not always easy to do.

You don’t have to donate to win — this is voluntary — but hopefully you’ll find a way to donate something! Even if you can only donate $5, every little bit helps!

I support Prop 37 because it is hopefully helping people learn about GMO who had most likely never given it a first thought. I don’t like the exemptions it allows, but it’s a start to get the word out that GMO is not safe.

I am in support of Prop 37 because since foods are already labeled vegan, organic, gluten-free, etc.. I feel that it follows foods should ALSO be labeled if they contain genetically modified items.

I believe we have the right to know what’s in the food we put into our bodies and how it is produced.
I tweeted and also shared on Facebook.

It is sad to me that there is even a need for GMO labeling but because there is, I think it is important that we have GMO labeling so that we can become informed consumers. It is time for America to stop hiding what’s in our food!!!
Heidi says
I support Prop 37 since there needs to be accountability!

I support Prop 37 because we have a right to know if we are putting genetically modified foods in our bodies, or children’s bodies! It’s NOT NATURAL!!

I think we sholud have the right to choose what to put in our bodies and decide for our self wither we eat GMOs or not!!
