Yes on Prop 37 Giveaway: Late July Organic Snacks — $40 Value

I’m so excited — we get to host another giveaway to support the YES on Prop 37 campaign!  The bloggers of Village Green Network are giving away over $5,000 in prizes from some amazing sponsors dedicated to supporting this important cause. And this week, we get to give away a whole case of delicious Late July organic chips, a $40 value, to a lucky reader!

Why support Prop 37?

Next month, California voters are getting the chance to vote to label GMOs. The initiative is called Proposition 37.

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, the opposition (Monsanto, Dow, Dupont, etc.) have raised over $20 million to try to sway Californians to vote no on Prop 37. They’re putting up bogus ads filled with their propaganda about how “safe” GMOs are, and a bunch of blatant lies about Prop 37.

But the California Right to Know campaign is here to help. They’re working hard to get the truth out there about why we need GMO labeling, and why our only hope for getting genetically modified (GMO) foods labeled is happening RIGHT NOW. We need to act on it!

Here is a very compelling commercial that the Yes on 37 campaign put together:

Wouldn’t you love to see that ad broadcast on every television in California, as much as possible?

Well, the campaign needs YOUR donation to make that happen! We need to raise money to tell the truth about the dangers of GMOs — on TV commercials, billboards, etc. — and get Californians out on November 6th to VOTE YES on PROP 37.

Giveaway Prize: Late July Chips —$40 value

Late July is one of the good guys in the food biz — they’re totally dedicated to keeping GMOs out of our food supply.

Check out what the CEO of Late July, Nicole Dawes, had to say about their family-owned company’s contribution to supporting GMO labeling:

As a mom and a CEO of an organic food company, I have always believed fundamentally in the consumer’s right to know what’s in the food they eat. Late July has been guided by this belief since our founding almost 10 years ago and last month we proudly made a $25,000 donation to the California Right to Know Initiative!”

To help raise even more funds for Yes on Prop 37, Late July has generously donated an entire case of chips — that’s 12 whole bags— to the winner of this giveaway!

How to Enter to Win

All you have to do is use the Rafflecopter widget below and (1) Sign up for my weekly email newsletter (or you can send in a postcard instead — kinda weird but legally necessary for me to give that option — see official rules for details) and (2) Make a voluntary donation to Yes on Prop 37 (or comment below about why you support Prop 37).

You don’t have to donate to win — this is voluntary — but hopefully you’ll find a way to donate something! Even if you can only donate $5, every little bit helps!

You can get more entries by sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
